Implementation of WRF-Hydro at two drainage basins in the region of Attica, Greece, for operational flood forecasting

Abstract. An integrated modeling approach for forecasting flood events is presented in the current study. advanced model, which based on coupling of hydrological and atmospheric components, was used a twofold objective: first to investigate potential coupled hydrometeorological model be at two medium-size drainage basins area Attica (Greece) second influence use precipitation forecast skill. For this reason, we hydrometric situ data six selected regions Attica. The simulations were carried out with Weather Research Forecasting (WRF) (WRF-only) WRF-Hydro system fully mode, under surface, subsurface, channel processes parameterized fine-resolution grid 95 m approximately.
